Real Ale, your liquid delicatessen.

Real Ale Ltd

Real Ale was nurturing the ‘Craft Beer Revolution’ long before it was fashionable to do so. The philosophy of the Twickenham-based retailer from the start, 11 years ago, was to offer a wide range of high quality but often unknown, craft beers, ciders, and perries produced by British smaller breweries and artisans around the world. The shop has introduced over 60 new breweries during the past year. These include, from the UK: Magic Rock; Vocation; Northern Monk; Mad Hatter and Cloudwater.

Real Ale Ltd

Real Ale launched its own label beer brand, Ubiquitous, in May 2015 to celebrate its 10 year anniversary. The first product, a Pale Ale of 4.2% A.B.V. was produced in collaboration with the acclaimed Derbyshire-based, Buxton Brewery and is available through M&S in 71 stores throughout central London and surrounding boroughs as well as in-store.

The Company has won many awards for its innovative range and expertise including: Drinks Retailing ‘Independent Beer Retailer of the Year’ three times in a row 2013/2014/15; the Drinks Business ‘Retailer of the Year 2015’; and Richmond Business Awards, ‘Best Retail Business’ in 2013 and 2012, receiving highly commended last year.

The multi-award winning liquid delicatessen, Real Ale, based in Richmond Road, Twickenham has a fresh new look and now offers freshly kegged beers* available to take away in 1 or 2 litre growlers. Four fantastic rotating keg beers on tap to ‘try before you buy’, as well as 500 high quality beers and 300 artisan wines are available in the newly refurbished store.
