POWERJAM- Featuring the band, “Internationally Unknown"

“If you close your eyes, you would easily think they were professional adult bands!” — Twickenham Resident

Local not-for-profit Rock & Pop Band Project & Charity, offering weekly after school band workshops for musical youths ages 10-18. Winner of Richmond Council’s 2018 Community Heroes Spirit Award and also recently shortlisted for the Community Project of the Year Award, Powerjam offers musical youths the opportunity to become regulars members of bands that each term learn to play new songs to performance level and perform publicly at events and venues throughout the community, improving their musical skills whilst learning the value of becoming reliable team players. Powerjam aims to place each member in an appropriate band in terms of level, age, & taste in music, and workshops are led by DBS checked music industry professionals and gigging tutors with low student/member to tutor ratios. The project is able to deliver a personalised service through a combination of volunteer work, donations, parental contributions, and in-kind support from Achieving For Children. Created and run by local Richmond borough volunteer, Anna Texier, with help from volunteer Treasurer, Rie Jewson. Enquiries:
